Two-factor authentication is an additional resource that allows you to access your account, even if someone else has access to your password. When you log in to your account, you will be offered two pieces of information: your password and a 6-digit authentication code. The authentication app generates new authentication code every 30 seconds. We strongly recommend that all our users enable this security feature to prevent any potential unauthorized access to their accounts. To enable two‑factor authentication (2FA), follow these steps:
- Go to Settings → Security → Two‑Factor Authentication.
- Click Enable 2FA and choose Authenticator App (recommended).
- Scan the displayed QR code with Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, or Microsoft Authenticator. If you can’t scan, enter the 16‑character key manually.
- Enter the 6‑digit code from your app to verify and complete setup.
- Save your backup/recovery codes in a safe place. They’re needed if you lose access to your device.
After 2FA is enabled, you’ll be asked for the 6‑digit code at sign‑in and before sensitive actions. Using an authenticator app (TOTP) is more secure than SMS; add SMS only as a fallback if available.
